Asbestos and Lead-Based Paint Surveys
CORE conducts field investigations to identify asbestos-containing materials and lead-based paint hazards throughout NYCT’s active transit facilities. Surveys are performed in accordance with NYSDOL, OSHA, and local regulations, and inform both remediation design and construction phasing.
Abatement Design
CORE provides full remediation design services, including the preparation of abatement plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Our team develops both standard and site-specific solutions tailored to the structural complexity and operational demands of NYCT facilities.
Project Monitoring
CORE personnel are deployed to monitor active lead and asbestos abatement activities. Monitoring tasks include contractor oversight, documentation of field conditions, verification of work area containment, and evaluation of adherence to approved abatement protocols.

Containment Area Inspection and Testing
CORE performs visual inspections of abatement work zones and conducts real-time air quality testing inside and around containment areas. This includes clearance testing post-abatement to confirm safe reoccupancy.
Ambient and Personal Air Monitoring
CORE conducts OSHA-compliant ambient and personal air sampling to assess worker exposure levels during abatement. Personal sampling pumps are placed on workers to ensure exposure remains within permissible limits and to confirm appropriate PPE use.
Project Reporting
All services are documented in detailed reports submitted to NYCT. These include laboratory results, field logs, progress documentation, and regulatory compliance summaries used to support contractor payments, schedule validation, and audit preparedness.
Quality Assurance Plan Implementation
CORE manages QA/QC procedures across all assigned tasks to ensure high-quality data collection, accurate documentation, and regulatory adherence. This includes oversight of field methodology, data validation, and internal coordination with NYCT project teams.
