Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP)

CORE was retained by MDA Consulting Engineers, PLLC (MDA) to complete a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) for construction activities associated with a sanitary sewer installation project. The project consisted of four components:

  • Collection system piping to be constructed around Lime Lake primarily by method of horizontal directional drilling and serving the residents in the Lime Lake Sewer District
  • Development of the collection system at each property around Lime Lake including but not limited to the installation of a grinder pump and associated piping at each property primarily by method of horizontal directional drilling
  • Construction of force main piping to convey wastewater from the Lime Lake Sewer District along US Route 16 to the existing wastewater treatment plant located in the Village of Arcade, primarily by method of horizontal directional drilling
  • Construction of an intermediate pump station near the Village of Delevan and along the route of the force main.CORE prepared a SWPPP in compliance with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (SPDES) General Permit for Stormwater Discharges from Construction Activities. This included the development of best management practices (BMPs) consistent with MDA’s design plans and an exhaustive search of the local hydrological, geological and environmental conditions.CORE prepared and submitted the Notice of Intent (NOI) form to the NYSDEC and developed erosion and sediment control plans to be incorporated into the existing project designs.
