Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC)
CORE Environmental Consultants develops site-specific Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) Plans in accordance with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) 40 CFR Part 112 regulations. When Is an SPCC Plan Required?
You must prepare and maintain an SPCC Plan if your facility:
- Stores more than 1,320 gallons of oil or petroleum products in aboveground containers (combined total), or
- Stores more than 42,000 gallons in underground tanks not subject to UST regulations, and
- Has the potential for a discharge to navigable waters of the U.S. or adjoining shorelines
- Uses oil-containing equipment or ASTs for heating, fueling, lubrication, or hydraulic purposes
