HAZARDOUS MATERIALS TESTING AND REPORTING

CORE Environmental Consultants, Inc. supported the Buffalo Erie Niagara Land Improvement Corporation (BENLIC) in their mission to return vacant properties to productive use throughout Erie County. For the renovation of residential properties in Buffalo, CORE provided essential environmental consulting services.

CORE conducted Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) following ASTM E1527-21 standards. These assessments identified potential environmental issues based on historical and current property uses, resulting in reports with findings and recommendations.

Additionally, CORE performed Limited Environmental Due Diligence Transaction Screens according to ASTM E1528-22. This cost-effective method assessed potential environmental concerns with less detailed research and site inspections.

CORE also carried out asbestos surveys to locate asbestos-containing materials and conducted lead inspections to identify lead-based paint hazards. To manage identified asbestos issues, CORE provided asbestos abatement project monitoring, ensuring safe and compliant removal practices.

By delivering these services, CORE helped BENLIC ensure that their renovation projects were environmentally safe and compliant, supporting the revitalization of Erie County's residential properties.
